Fashionising.com has an aim: to bring the world of fashion together and prepare it for the change that's coming.
We're a fashion community, a fashion blog, and we have our eyes firmly on the future of fashion; that's why we're always analysing fashion trends.
Change is inevitable. Like the Internet changed the music industry, it's also going to change the fashion industry. And don't for a moment delude yourself into thinking that the change will be minor. Yes, the Internet and sites like Fashionising.com will be a driving force. But there's a greater social change occurring. The guard is changing. There's a whole new generation taking to the world's stage and we're not going to be accepting the same rubbish that was churned out in the last half of the 20th Century. We want more: more quality of life, and we know that fashion enhances that quality.
The world of fashion is going to change in many ways, but the biggest change will be with the consumer fashioniser. These people who love and influence the world of fashion, who set trends and have their friends wearing it in no time, no longer want mass-produced clothing. This new, powerful group of fashion-savvy consumers aren't passionate about labels; that's for the chavs. We're passionate about quality. We're passionate about aesthetic. We know that a label doesn't make clothing great: great clothing comes from great designers, from passion, from quality production.
And you're going to start seeing this change everywhere. Take as a primary example fashion magazines. We hate to be the bearers of bad news but, along with the baby boomers, their time is over. No, they won't all cease to exist altogether though many will. And those who continue to exist, and those who spring up in the place of those who fold, will all have to have embraced change. Savvy fashionisers will no longer accept fluff content; Fashion news is now instant, fashion pictures ubiquitous. And it's all online for free.
That's why Fashionising.com was built. And that's why we consult. We're fully behind the social movement towards genuine quality, and we invite to come along.
Let us count the ways...
We wish we could list all the publications that have shown Fashionising.com love, alas it would take too much time to keep this list up to date. Instead, may we mention a select sample such as radio 3AW, the Age, the Brisbane Times, the Calgary Herald, Cosmo, MTV, NineMSN, and the Sydney Morning Herald.
We consume, we attend, we analyse, and we consult. 24/7, fashion is our lives. Fashionising.com provides a number of services for the fashion industry including;
If we don't do it, we know someone who does. So drop us a line and we can get the ball rolling
