Shaped by all things beautiful and feminine, Nicoleta Parascan’s first steps towards entering the captivating world of fashion were taken somewhere around the young age of six, when she received her very own first fashion magazine. Discovering an entirely new universe, filled with pretty ladies and beautiful clothes, there was not much able to ever beat or compete with the fantasy land that was suddenly opening up. Surrounded by books, constantly thinking about the next best outfit, in search of a signature style and defined by a nostalgic calling towards the past, Nicoleta believes in taking chances, in destiny and in building her own path in life. When she’s not writing, you can easily find her playing with her cat, reading an old book, watching movies, exploring the city or blogging her own daily adventures.

Made out of unspoken promises and the kindest light, spoiled with lacy lingerie while spelling out a different kind of craving, Glen…

Making a splash in sexy swimwear

Making the side-pool glamour appear all easy and natural has always been a serious business. The incredible effort building up the effortless, the amount of elements expected to converge in perfect harmony, the swimsuits imploring to be turned into statements, and the props asking to maintain their relevance without even trying to play the prevailing card, are all but parts of an elaborate system. But…

The abstract blooms in a surrealist’s dream

Mirroring the spirit of surrealism in creating a compelling series of images that push beyond the ordinary, An Le’s fashion editorial photographed for Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam feels like a visual feast, or more like art, illusion and modern sense made into a fascinating whole. Stripping the ordinary of all normalcy, using bold prints, unexpected juxtapositions and painting-like poses to blur the line between dreams and…

Temptation tastes better on this side of paradise

There are few things able to encapsulate the spirit of summer more effortlessly than the alluring image of a featherweight white garment, gently enfolding the bronzed skin in what appears to be a never ending embrace. Blue seas, long, flat, sandy beaches, old buildings and boats, with their layers of coloured paint peeled bearing witness to the fragility of time, come close in describing the…

A sexy case of mistaken identity

Chances are you may never know who she really is: a loving housewife, a modern Lolita, an impossibly beautiful seductress, or perhaps just the girl next door, happy and free, drawing out the best of life while chasing the golden light of the afternoon? Is she deriving her sense of identity from social mirrors, or is she living her own dream? The trailer park and…

5 hairstyles for the lazy days to try out this summer

We all have them and it’s quite alright to cave in to their long for nonchalance every once in a while. We’re talking about those lazy days, be them Sundays or Mondays, that don’t beg for fancy hair do’s, nor tens of minutes to be spent in front of the mirror. But a lazy day doesn’t necessarily involve letting go of all things designed to…

Signs of happiness, bursts of confidence

It’s a good thing that true happiness can’t be faked, nor held back, because when you do come across the real, unadulterated feeling, either it’s on the street, on the bus, or magnified in a cheerful editorial, you can’t help but feel contaminated. And so, an infectious smile gives rise to an avalanche of emotions, equally bright and effervescent. Photographed by Vivia Tan, the gorgeous…
