A fashion magpie born and raised in London, Sabi Datoo studied English and Drama and now works in the wonderful world of fashion. Lusting over anything from interiors to jewellery as long as it's unique, when you don't find her infront of a keyboard plying her trade as a freelance fashion writer then it's likely you'll find her sitting at a sewing machine and dreaming of Carrie's fashion-Narnia wardrobe or in a kitchen trying her hand at Chanel inspired cupcakes. With a personal wardrobe that drips with colour and glitter, Sabi hopes to wake up and be Holly Golightly for the day. Every day.

Roberto Cavalli men’s: the softer touch

It’s always refreshing to see brands taking certain seasons to a sublime level. The Roberto Cavalli fall 2012 menswear show lends itself well to this fact; we have seen womenswear take on a level of androgyny and adopt a hint of a man’s tailoring touch so to speak. However, it's far rarer to see the same in reverse; the double printed suit trend? Check. The layering of various textures? Cavalli has done it. Man-capes? Yes sir! So when looking through the Cavalli men's collection, we see a cross over of trends and guess what? Men are actually pulling it off! Cobalt blue man-capes, and leather and wool combined knitwear is not just a thing for the fashion savvy lady but a look that is becoming apparent in a man’s wardrobe faster than you can say run roger rabbit.

For instance, her spread in the 3rd issue of Dew Magazine features the model Nea;…

Pop your collar

Every so often there is a designer who either introduces a trend or regurgitates it in fantastical ways. Danny Tang is one of those creative brains who dedicated his first season in 2009 to accessories such as shrugs, collars, belts and neck pieces; a collection of edgy romantic ‘add-ons’ to glam up any LBD-esque look. He then went on to become a sought after brand…

Take this shoot in November’s Issue of Vogue Italia; styled regally by Fabio Messana and Rossana Mazza we see beautifully constructed pieces spilling out of the jewellery pages. The third stylist on this shoot must’ve been…

Sass & Bide bring summer 2012 to London fashion week

From Australia with love we have the dynamic duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton that is Sass and Bide and their breathtaking spring 2012 collection at London fashion week. As first impressions go it’s safe to say that aliens could’ve landed and we wouldn’t have batted an eyelid. A melange of colours flew down the catwalk with textures, prints and silhouettes to die for. We…

A moment with Jac

Model behaviour at it’s finest, here we see Monika ‘Jac’ Jagaciak in a street style photograph wearing a prominent trend; the sheer maxi. This teamed with ’70s inspired hair and bold-lined eyes make an effortless look. The sheer maxi alone is an enigma in itself; when worn, a woman shows her silhouette but still remains a mystery as she glides, giving passers-by a chance to…

Come away with me

With high summer in full swing for those in the North, the only thing on a woman’s mind is her destination and her beachwear. The block colour fascination of spring 2011 shows no boundaries when it comes to swimwear; pops of tangerine, lime, coral and cobalt blue are a summary of colours being worn in the summer sunshine. We see hints of colour-clash which add…

Christian Louboutin autumn / fall 2011

It’s that hint of red sole that makes every woman flutter and lust after these shoes, and there are no prizes for guessing that the sole in question is that of Christian Louboutin. 1992 saw the launch of the brand and first Louboutin boutique; if Mystic Meg had looked into her ball it might have blown up into shards as the future of this brand…
