It’s always refreshing to see brands taking certain seasons to a sublime level. The Roberto Cavalli fall 2012 menswear show lends itself well to this fact; we have seen womenswear take on a level of androgyny and adopt a hint of a man’s tailoring touch so to speak. However, it's far rarer to see the same in reverse; the double printed suit trend? Check. The layering of various textures? Cavalli has done it. Man-capes? Yes sir! So when looking through the Cavalli men's collection, we see a cross over of trends and guess what? Men are actually pulling it off! Cobalt blue man-capes, and leather and wool combined knitwear is not just a thing for the fashion savvy lady but a look that is becoming apparent in a man’s wardrobe faster than you can say run roger rabbit.

Much the same can be said when looking upon Vivienne Mok’s work; her multitalented self always brings dreamy, fairy tale-like photoshoots to reality. For instance, her spread in the 3rd issue of Dew Magazine features the model Nea;…

Every so often there is a designer who either introduces a trend or regurgitates it in fantastical ways. Danny Tang is one of those creative brains who dedicated his first season in 2009 to accessories such as shrugs, collars, belts and neck pieces; a collection of edgy romantic ‘add-ons’ to glam up any LBD-esque look. He then went on to become a sought after brand…

From Australia with love we have the dynamic duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton that is Sass and Bide and their breathtaking spring 2012 collection at London fashion week. As first impressions go it’s safe to say that aliens could’ve landed and we wouldn’t have batted an eyelid. Model behaviour at it’s finest, here we see Monika ‘Jac’ Jagaciak in a street style photograph wearing a prominent trend; the sheer maxi. This teamed with ’70s inspired hair and bold-lined eyes make an effortless look. The sheer maxi alone is an enigma in itself; when worn, a woman shows her silhouette but still remains a mystery as she glides, giving passers-by a chance to…

Burberry Prorsum’s fall 2011 collection was no less than little bursts of vibrant happiness when it came down the runway. Now we see the pieces up close and personal on a backdrop of a coast in Harper’s Bazaar Singapore’s August 2011 cover story. Styled effortlessly by Kenneth Goh, we see colour clash coming through with the sunshine beaming on hot jewel tones for the fall…

With high summer in full swing for those in the North, the only thing on a woman’s mind is her destination and her beachwear. The block colour fascination of spring 2011 shows no boundaries when it comes to swimwear; pops of tangerine, lime, coral and cobalt blue are a summary of colours being worn in the summer sunshine. We see hints of colour-clash which add…

It’s that hint of red sole that makes every woman flutter and lust after these shoes, and there are no prizes for guessing that the sole in question is that of Christian Louboutin. 1992 saw the launch of the brand and first Louboutin boutique; if Mystic Meg had looked into her ball it might have blown up into shards as the future of this brand…
