TLC for kids is a registered charity based in Melbourne, providing immediate distractions and urgent attention to sick children and young people nationally via a unique service known as Rapid TLC. The aim is to provide assistance in the shortest possible time, usually within 24-48 hours. Since 1998, over 13,500 children and their families have directly benefited from the Rapid TLC service and events provided by TLC for kids. In 2004, TLC for kids launched the National TLC Distraction Box Program which provides further assistance for medical staff working with children in hospital. An average of 254,000 children are benefiting from this program annually.
