How to: day to night eye make up
Simple to start with, the day time part of this beauty look is all about the simplicity of gold eyes. The night time element (steps 5 and 6) upgrades the look with navy eyeliner to make an evening’s statement.
Start by prepping your skin to keep it healthy and to give the makeup look a great base upon which to sit. Wash, cleanse, and use an all in one make-up primer to make this quick in easy.
Once you’re done prepping your skin, create a flawless base by applying foundation and concealer on your skin as is needed. Set the base with loose powder. At the Derek Lam show, Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Light Stay-in-Place Makeup Foundation and Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder was used.
Apply gold cream eyeshadow over your eyelids fading out as is normal.
As this look is a simple minimalist one, all you need to do for your lips is to apply a nude-pale lipstick in your chosen shade.
To prepare the beauty look for your evening, take some navy eyeliner and, using a brush, apply a cube shape to your eye lids. The cube shape should be the size of the outer third of your eyelid. At the Derek Lam show, the models wore the makeup with this cube for their second look on the runway.
This is the final touch for a glammed up night out. All you have to do is to rim your eyes with navy blue eye pencil. For a finishing touch, curl your lashes and then apply on two coats of mascara.
This beauty look is the perfect one for the busy bee. Wear the simpler version to work and in a few minutes you can glam it up for a date or a fun night out with your friends.
