Inspiration comes in different forms and for the Karla Spectic collection that was seen Australian Fashion Week (MBFWA), inspiration came in the form of Religious motifs. Napoleon Perdis was given the task to create a spring 2013 beauty look that went well with the collection, and the resulting look was ethereal and luminous, a clear take on the the divine and other worldly.
The look is all about the skin, according to Napoleon Perdis. This look is angel-like and without anything being too shimmery. To find out how to create this angelic beauty look for yourself, follow the steps after the break.
How to: Karla Spectic’s ethereal beauty look
Start by prepping your skin for extra hydration. Use two pumps of Auto Pilot Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and then massage into the skin with sanitized fingertips or use Flawless Foundation Brush g18.
With Flawless Foundation Brush g18, apply Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot BBB Cream Beauty Boosting Balm across the ‘feature focus’ area (the triangle of features – eyes, nose & lips) of the face then blend in an outward direction for a flawless finish.
Using the The One Concealer, conceal the under eye area if needed. Conceal any blemishes or skin discoloration with the appropriate shade of Mighty Concealer Pen. For best application results, use Full Coverage Brush g12.
Start working on your eyes by blending a small amount of The One Concealer onto the entire eye area using Full Coverage Brush g12. Next, blend a small amount of Lip Pencil Nude Awakening through the top lash line using Full Coverage Brush g12. Apply China Doll Gel Eyeliner Alabaster lightly over the tear duct. Once blended well, lightly wash Loose Eye Dust Ice Storm over the immediate inner corner of the eye.
Comb the brows and define with Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider or Chocoholic. Feather the product onto the brow following the natural direction of the hair growth.
Add glow to the tops of the cheekbones and temples with a mixture of Auto Pilot Lip Service and Loose Eye Dust Ice Storm using Cream Luminizing Brush 18b.
Pat Napoleon Perdis MATTETASTIC Lipstick Ava lightly over the lips with your fingertips. Then lightly pat a touch of Auto Pilot Lip Service over the lips and take a touch onto the cupid’s bow.
Sometimes you don’t need a lot of colour to stand out. This beauty look has a certain glow to it that will make heads turn even if it uses muted and basic colors. You can wear this make up day or night: it’s very flexible yet still very beautiful.
