This year has been all about standout eyes when it comes to beauty. Runway shows in the different fashion weeks feature different versions of this beauty trend and the recent Topshop Unique spring/summer 2013 show was one of them. What made the Topshop version of the beauty look stand out was the use of blush on the eyes, creating a glowing pink beauty look that will surely capture anyone’s attention.
The woman behind this look is Topshop makeup artist Hannah Murray. Taking inspiration from the collection itself, the beauty look complemented the fluid fabrics that gave the collection its androgynous yet still feminine vibe. She also shows us that there are several ways you can use a product and for this case, it’s the blush. Check out the steps on how you can create this beauty look for yourself after the break.
How to: Topshop’s blushing eyes

Skin
Flawless skin is important in any beauty look. To get this, start by using a make up primer. This will keep your skin healthy and moisturized. You can even get a primer with SPF in it to give you protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Cheeks
Keeping this look unique is the choice to use lip tint together with a sheer make up balm. Start by applying lip tint lightly on the apples of your cheek moving towards your ear as you follow your jaw line. No need to use a lot of color because you are going for a natural glow.

Eyes
This is the main feature of this look and to get it right, you will need two different shades of blush. For the the Topshop Unique show, Topshop blushes in Flush and Prime Time were used. Start by taking the darker shade and apply it all over your lid. Do the same thing with the lighter shade of blush.

Lips
This look is all about the eyes which is why you don’t really need a strong lip color. A lipstick or lip gloss in pale pink or nude pink will do. Apply it all over your lip and add some dimension to it by dabbing on some eye shadow (that’s in a similar shade to your lippie) on the center of your lips.
There you have it! Who would’ve thought blushing eyes would look this good? You can pair this look off with a simple laid back hairstyle, much like the one at the Topshop Unique show.
