New Years Fashion Resolutions for 2008

Making resolutions is part of the fun of entering a brand new year! Even if we never actually stick to them... hmm, but I digress. There are times when we can stick to them and the year is all the more better for it. Resolutions can be about all sorts of things, whether it's to do with your health, your social life, your work or your education. But we here are all about fashion, so if you're looking to add a few fashion-related resolutions to your New Year's list we thought we'd give you some ideas.

We're dreaming of a fashionable Christmas

If you're keeping your eye on the front page of Fashionising.com, or a calendar, you'll be well aware that Christmas is less than 4 sleeps away. With 2007 seeing us celebrate our first Christmas, we've been bringing you a fashionable Christmas gift guide each day since late November. Fashionably Late with Stacy London

After five seasons as co-host of What Not to Wear in the US, Stacy London is debuting her own show.

'Fashionably Late' will air on Fridays at 10 PM (ET/PT) beginning November 23, on TLC in the US.

Apparently each one-hour episode will feature "fashion 101, dramatic makeovers, extravagant audience giveaways and nightly themed cocktails created by the in-house mixologist." We're told that Rebecca Romijn, Amanda Bynes and Becki Newton are just a few of the celebrities that will stop by.

ARA Lord Mayor's Innovation Award

During the chaos of Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, we were pleased to be able to take an afternoon out to attend the Australian Retailers Association / City of Melbourne Lord Mayor's Innovation Award luncheon.

To start off the event, a panel of previous winners, including Fashioniser Fiona from Hidden Secrets Tours, responded in depth to questions around business innovation and the future of retail. Next, the nominees for the Lord Mayor's Award were introduced.
