Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale

Victoria's Secret are holding their semi-annual sale - with all bras 25% to 50% off. I'm not sure what a 'semi' annual sale is, but with shipping all around the world, who really cares?

Rosemount Australia Fashion Week Commences

Starting today, the RAFW Spring Summer 2007/08 Collections will be displayed in Sydney showcasing some of Australia's best designers.

Over 100 designers will be displaying their collections during the five day program including Lisa Ho, Piper Lane, Nicola Finetti and Zimmerman.

Fashion Parade For A Cause

Australia Supporting Kids (ASK) will be holding a fashion parade and auction on Wednesday the 9th of May to raise awareness of poverty in Brazil. They will be contributing funds to the MORE project who are assisting children of Rio De Janeiro.

This will be a great night with Capawerra performers, a Samba show, Catwalk parade and Charity auction.

Fashionising are supporting the event, so make sure you look out for lots of gorgeous Fashionising members - both modelling in the parade, and providing a range of wonderful designs.

Rent your fashion instead of buying it

Renting fashion pieces, instead of buying it outright, has been successful both in Australia and overseas. Now there's a new set up where you can rent some very select pieces for a week or a month at a time.

For just a few dollars a day you can now rent style. That's right. Clever Simonne Santanna has created a fashion revolution with her site, www.lovemeandleaveme.com.au, an online fashion rental store. You can borrow designer shoes, bags and jewellery for a teeny fraction of the cost, then send it back when you're bored of it.

What's Happened to Tea

I came across an article on Product Dose about the Postmodern Utilo Tea Stick. You basically throw in some loose tea and drop the stick into a cup of water - a really lazy way to make tea. The stick is described as being made of "the brand's distinctively bold stainless steel"... Uh, what modern kitchen appliance isn't made from stainless steel these days?

Melbourne meet-up - iCiNG brunch

For Melbourne fashionistas and fashion bloggers, be sure you mark the upcoming iCiNG brunch in your diary. It's being organised by fellow fashioniser, Gala Darling.

Curvy Book Launch, Presented by Yen Magazine

Last night was the launch party for Curvy 4, featuring 100 leading female artists from over 20 countries and supported by Yen magazine.

It was an awesome night, completely packed out, and if the free alcohol wasn't enough to entice you there, the female bar staff wearing moustaches would have done it.

Party idea - liquid infusion mobile bar

Here's an idea for anyone having a party - a bar service which comes to you.

Experienced staff, and their ability to set up in most any location, means your next party will see you on the receiving end of the bar, and not stuck behind it (and who doesn't hate serving a horde of drinks at their own party!)

Liquid Infusion is Melbourne based and their website can be checked out at www.liquidinfusion.com.au.

Akina Exhibition at Kinokuniya, Sydney

If you are lucky enough to be in Sydney this month, you absolutely must go visit Kinokuniya - currently hosting an exhibition of works by creative mastermind, and Fashionising member, Lang Leav of Akina. The theme behind the exhibit is "The Teddy Bear's Picnic" -

"Akina is a villain with a button fetish. She hacks up cute Teddy Bears to steal their button eyes. The Teddy Bear's Picnic narrates Akina's story along with the tales of seven other Fairytale villains. Each have their own secret button fetish and each have a unique way of punishing their teddy bears."
The exhibition runs until the 27th of March 2007. Find it at Level 2, The Galeries Victoria, 500 George St, Sydney.

Visit akina.com.au to see more.
