Accost polo dress by Francis Spring/Summer 2009When I labelled Francis’ Spring/Summer 2009 collection as Gossip Girl worthy I also questioned the motivation behind the catwalk’s last look (pictured right).

“A parody? A wink? A nod? A swipe?” I asked.

I’m now leaning towards parody.

Not providing an answer, but providing more details on the polo dress, the design house has posted in our fashion forums to let us know that the dress is the “Accost polo dress”; a clever play on Lacoste if ever there was one.

Sadly they’ve also told us the Accost dress isn’t going to be produced for sale.
