A garden, a note book and a pencil. This is the sky for Sara Lamurias, a fashion designer that from her atelier in Lisbon is sowing her work to the world. She stared in 2003, thinking in the international market. The first experience outside Portugal was in Berlin, in Bless, her star label at the time. She liked the city, but her love for Lisbon was stronger, and she returned home. In her luggage she brought the will to make things. It was on that particular moment that she started Aforest-design.

To show her brand she called the press and stores from around the world. Two stores from London and one from N.Y. where interested. Her initial idea was to launch a product every 3 months, whether it fashion or not. In 2005 she received the invitation to be in Lab, from ModaLisboa. The first fashion show was a Hit, and since then everything has been moving quickly.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
