If there’s a particular style of dress that’s almost guaranteed to flatter any body type, it’s this one. Ok, so I know Daisy Lowe is probably a bad example because with that figure, she’d look hot in a potato sack. But bear with me.

Daisy Lowe sexy in a hater-neck dress

It’s sort of 50s-prom dress only shorter and sexier. If you get this type of dress right, it pulls up the bust, pulls in the waist, and flares out over the hips (which can be a saving grace for those whose tummies, hips, or thighs are not their best assets). The other benefit is that it’s a style that rarely dates and can be worn in a sexy evening kind of way, or a more demure afternoon tea party setting. For the former, channel Marilyn Monroe; for the latter, just add a touch of Sloane-esque floral.

You, dear readers, have not been too kind to poor Daisy in the past. Regardless of whether you accept my theory, I’ll be interested to see how your votes go for this one. I myself rather like it.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
