When I see this dress, I have visions of Tallulah Morton sailing – Goddess-like – down the runway at the Stolen Girlfriends Club S/S 10/11 show. Having been pondering yesterday about how our opinion of a piece of clothing can be influenced by the context you see it in, I can only conclude that it’s Tallulah’s fault that I want this dress.

She sold it to me.

The flowing cape at the back of the dress is made of silk chiffon; the panels at the bust faux croc. It’s not something I’d wear often, but as a statement piece to the right event – I think it could work.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
