Fred & Ginger: lingerie like candy

When trends like edible pastel colours and 50s fashion bubble to the surface, it’s not only fitting but completely opportune that the eyes of most every lingerie brand would light up. Unlike the types of trends that centre on the hard and fetishist, 2012 gives all things feminine a popularity boost (feminine, not necessarily girly – beware the distinction). Fred & Ginger’s spring 2012 collection of lingerie offers itself up with an inkling of that retro pin-up vibe, but in cuts one could only describe as very modern. No high waists here: bikini briefs and bras given a reworking into soft colours and softer fabrics.
