I was instantly drawn to Jessie Hill’s latest collection; probably because it was influenced by Blade Runner, a film I’ve always been a fan of. The garments in the collection have a subtle androgyny, more based upon the 80s cyberpunk genre than the clothing in the film itself; aside from some ‘Rachael’ style puffed sleeves and frilled-out collars. The dresses are highly wearable, made from fabrics like hand-printed silks and Japanese microfibre cottons.

A series of hand-crafted shoes compliment the collection perfectly; from cute flats in soft, 80s inspired patterns, to the lace-up platforms in a variety of colours and styles.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
