I use the word ‘effortless’ with such fervour and repetition these days that I’m fearful of its overuse… But where there’s relaxed blazers, classic chambray shirts, tomboy pairs of pants and jeans, and casual summer stripes concerned, there’s simply no other word that’s as fitting. So it must be said: Kitsune’s collection for spring / summer 2011 is effortless.
And while I’ve mostly been referring to the womenswear side of things in the above description it certainly doesn’t exclude the mens. More blazers, more stripes, added to casually rolled-up pants and preppy knits and knee-length tailored shorts form the menswear component of the collection.
While Kitsune’s offering maybe perfect for gathering a few spring foundation pieces for your curated wardrobe, it’s also worthwile as styling inspiration for creating a fresh and understated take on Ivy League dressing.
