Ripped Denim Trend in Balmain S/S 2009

Ripped denim, one of the key 2009 fashion trends, has found it's way on to the Paris Fashion Week runway by way of the super sexy Balmain Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

Balmain designer Christopher Decarnin has kept the denim rips more subdued in this collection, particularly in contrast to other pieces we've seen; who could forget the practically shredded jeans we've seen on the likes of Agyness Deyn and Gisele Bundchen. Thus from Balmain, we actually have a collection of ripped denim jeans that are far more practical and a lot more wearable.
