While there’s a reason watches were invented with pockets and wrists in mind, they’re also an accessory to be worn with style. I know many a person who wears a watch purely as a non-functional statement piece (I can recall a conversation from the other day that I had with such a person; it was about ten in the morning and it went something like this: “Do yo have the time?” “Err, it’s three thirty.” “Right. Then why are we having breakfast..?”) So I was never too bothered by the practicality, or lack thereof, of Anne-Catherine’s collar watch as spotted last year.

This shot by Tommy Ton that surfaced more recently gives you a close-up view of the Hermes accessory. And the uniqueness of the whole idea still has its draw; this is something for the bold to try.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
