I have a theory about New Zealand. My theory is that it rocks.
I guess I should really jump on a plane one day and find out for sure if my theory has any validity… In the meantime I’ll just go by labels like Twenty-Seven Names, that create a sense of understated cool so tangible you could reach out and pluck it from the hobbit holes and green rolling hills. For Autumn it’s hard to go past this cream crochet bodysuit which – like much of the collection – has a coarse, earthy look to it that’s somehow so right for the cooler weather despite it’s apparent lack of warmth.
Cream and white sit alongside soft apricot for country-inspired colour combinations. The odd bit of army green pops up by way of understated military jackets, and for those looking to dabble in the cape trend Twenty-Seven Names’ caped trenches are a classic take.
It’s not a surprise that the label chose an ongoing hair trend – the messy top knot – for their lookbook either; the style suited perfectly well to the label’s youthful, casual looks.
You can see more of the lookbook below, or visit the label’s website at http://www.twentysevennames.co.nz/.
