A pair of vintage denim hot pants will fill some gaps in your Summer wardrobe. You can dress them up, dress them down… and create so many cool vintage-inspired looks with them (40s pinup through 70s hippy and much more).

Denim hot pants

This street style shot comes to us courtesy Garance Dore, who notes that Aussie girls are completely and utterly attached to their denim mini-shorts like nothing else. I can agree with that.

Yes, you can buy a very light wash at urban outfitters for only $28 under urban renewal, which is their vintage line, or you can try American apparel, they have a vintage Levi high waste with black zippers on the side. really nice.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
