Androgyny is not limited to clothes and hairstyle anymore; rather it has plunged into a territory traditionally owned by women. Gold jewellery’s reputation has taken a hike in Ana Locking‘s latest creations and it’s aiming to satisfy both genders.

In the fall/winter collection, a unique mix of industrial cuts and feminine detailing gives each piece its unisex aesthetic. Even though gold-plated nuts and bolts are paired with natural pearls, the designs are still lady-like. While the solid gold chain bracelets are perfect for men to pair it with a white singlet and tapered jeans.

Shitika Anand is a freelance journalist, based in Sydney, who is addicted to coffee, vintage boutiques, bright-glitzy earringsĀ and British stand-up comedy. Her bank account weeps every time she walks out of a shoe shop, but her shoe rack throws a 'welcome home' party for the new member. Her undying love for words is obvious when she narrates her entire life story to a stranger on the train. Which is partly the reason she's resorted to writing. When not blogging, she can be foundĀ in a corner of her nearest bookshop, hiding under a monstrous pile of international fashion magazines. You can read more of her work on her personal site, Sweet Dreams in my world.
