Batman is coming soon to your… wardrobe

The Dark Knight won’t rise onto cinema screens for at least another week, but that doesn’t mean it’s too soon for a creeping desire to add bat symbols and leather catsuits to our wardrobes. UK-based Lazy Oaf are releasing a Batman-themed collection with precision timing, with pieces for both men and women. It takes its cues more from pop-art comic book Batman than from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight franchise, but let’s face it: even fans of the darker interpretation are prone to that childlike excitement inside that’s conjured up by seeing a black bat silhouetted against bright yellow.

Now if only we could get our hands on those deadly Catwoman heels from the forthcoming movie, too.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
