Brazilian swimwear, Brazilian babe: Izabel Goulart for Cia Maritima

Brazil somehow manages to produce swimwear labels and supermodels in equal quantities. Cia Maritima swimwear and model Izabel Goulart – both Brazilian – are a dream pairing in this campaign. Swimwear in 2012 is heavily geared towards the patterned and the colourful, two qualities which stand out twice as much against bronzed skin like Goulart’s, and the saturated imagery doesn’t exactly hinder the effect either. Mini sundresses and cut-away monokinis are the kind that feel at home on the hot, Brazilian beaches, while the winner number comes in the form of a triangle bikini and matching pair of high-waisted shorts. These shorts, with their pineapple print and sea-horse buckle, give the swimsuit an air of retro glamour in or our of the water.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
