sass & bide have built a brand out of an aesthetic that has no other name, other than to say it’s – well – sass & bide.

Part of that aesthetic is a certain toughness, an insouciance; qualities you’d expect them to extend into new sub-lines of the brand, like their newly released lingerie collection. And for the most part that’s exactly what they do. The collection doesn’t immediately hit you with the sass & bide love of embellishment or the wild tribalism that often works its way into their pieces, but these are the kind of lingerie sets a girl wouldn’t mind showing off from under a sheer singlet or a slouchy tee.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
