It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment that leather harness accessories crossed the border from being tough into being sublimely elegant, but suffice to say it happened – and the fashion world is continuing to reap the rewards of this unexpected transgression. YVY’s ‘Skin’ collection (the nude edition in particular) is one that plays in that space of elegance with attitude. Nude-coloured leather is shaped by the Swiss label into body harnesses, belts, chokers and cuffs. Shapes follow the lines of the body, sitting close to the skin and embracing the torso.

In the look book the ‘Nude’ collection really is worn nude, but like all good leather harnesses there’s a multitude of ways you could style each piece. View the full collection from YVY by clicking on the thumbnails and browsing the gallery.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
