Summer rain: Mary Katrantzou X Harbour City umbrella

Vivid, hyper-real 3-Dimensional prints, vibrant colours and an overall wow factor. If those attributes sound familiar your mind may be drawn to Mary Katrantzou, for whom all of the above comes together into a trademark style. While ordinarily you’ll find these qualities packed into dresses on a runway, those lucky enough will also find Mary’s floral prints sheltering them from the rain.

In a special collaboration between Hong Kong shopping hub Harbour City, Mary Katrantzou, and creative studio AllRightsReserved, a travel-sized limited edition umbrella has been created. Covered in exotic and beautiful bursts of flowers, it comes in a matching floral box and case.

This limited edition gift goes to Harbour City’s VIPs, rather than going on sale to the public, with the aim of inviting donations for “The Community Chest of Hong Kong”. More than guaranteed to bring some optimism to a rainy day, let’s just hope Mary Katrantzou decides to follow up with a line of stunningly-printed umbrellas sometime soon.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
