James Bond carries a bespoke Globe-Trotter rifle case, and so can you

Globe-Trotter are synonymous with craftsmanship and the nostalgic magic of travel. So if James Bond needed a custom-made rifle case that was both sturdy and stylish you’d imagine that’s where he’d be headed.

And so, that’s where the costume department of SKYFALL headed. In the film, Bond carries a bespoke carry case produced especially by Globe-Trotter – who worked closely with the film’s armorer to create the vintage inspired case along with a bespoke telescopic sight for the rifle.

Bond has one and it looks pretty darn cool, so naturally you want one too. Luckily, film is a money-making business, and Globe-Trotter have made available a limited edition run of 100 pieces of the slim line 26″ aluminium suitcase. It comes complete with a handle that’s a replica of the telescopic sight in the film, and has a price tag of £5,000. The mix of black and silver with the vintage shape and strap detailing is like an unambiguous sign: this man is classic and refined, but he means business.

Globe-Trotter have also released a James Bond Leather Series. These aren’t Bond’s accessories, specifically, but rather a range of elegant black leathergoods inspired by 007.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
