1 industry body, 2 retail giants, 24 designers.
After innumerable designer collaborations in stores and a gradual numbing of the excitement they generate, this one has announced itself as something epic enough to make a blip. Target and Neiman Marcus have partnered with the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) to secure 24 CDFA designers for a special collection to launch December 1.
Here’s a quick run down, including the full list of designers:

- The 24 designers are Alice + Olivia, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Brian Atwood, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Eddie Borgo, Jason Wu, Judith Leiber, Lela Rose, Marchesa, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Philip Crangi, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Robert Rodriguez, Rodarte, Skaist-Taylor, Thom Browne, Tory Burch, and Tracy Reese.
- The collection consists of 50 pieces, spanning women’s, men’s, home and children’s wear.
- Prices range from $7.99 to $499.99, with most items under $60.
- The entire collection will become available for sale on December 1, at Neiman Marcus stores, Target stores, NeimanMarcus.com and Target.com.
The two retailers say they jointly donated $1 million to the CFDA to “affirm their continual support the American design community”.
