Edgy has become a hard word to define these days, but it pronounces itself strongly yet subtly through Titania Inglis’ spring 2013 collection. Inglis’ pieces just have a nonchalance that’s tough and yet cleanly minimal. It’s in the drapes of fabric that fall into asymmetrical hemlines, in the unusual shaped sleeves and diagonal-cut shorts that give the impression of pockets peeking through. The palette is what you might call failsafe: black, white and nude tones forming pieces of leather, silk and organic cotton.
Inglis’ pieces are all sewn in a small factory in New York from sustainably sourced fabrics, adding to their appeal.
