We Are Handsome for Ben Sherman: swimwear with a British twist

When two fashion labels with opposing aesthetics meet ends, it’s bound to raise the level of doubt and scepticism. You either expect a one-sided collaboration or a forceful mix of two styles.

However, shutting the critics and blending ingredients together, swimwear label We Are Handsome has collaborated with British brand Ben Sherman for a capsule collection for spring 2012 / summer 2013.

Putting quality into first gear, this limited edition range of swimwear and beach dresses has a classic Ben Sherman feel to it. And this becomes clearer after you look at the prints in the collection: the classic Sherman checks, a cloud-kissed blue sky over golden corn fields and the sightings of London’s most famous architecture, the London eye and Big Ben. These insanely British references are married to the sophisticated cuts made famous by the Aussie swimwear label.
