Weekend watch: Zana Bayne harnesses on film

We’d long since determined that leather harnesses didn’t have to be all fetish and punk. And Zana Bayne’s spring 2011 look book- which paired hand-made leather strapped pieces with sharp tailoring – only added weight to our theory.

While this little accessory remains a micro-trend embraced only by those who dare, it has its market; and Zana Bayne continue to turn out the kind of pieces that can be worn with toughness or with the softer edge that we see as more relevant in 2011.

Edwin Garro created the above film for Zana Bayne’s fall 2011 collection.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
