When I wrote of men's brooches as an increasingly prevalent men's fashion trend I made one unfortunate mistake: I labelled them a dandy accessory. Talk about selling the trend short; straight from The Sartorialist we take the concept left of centre; a safety-pin; throw in an earring and a dash of nail polish, and the trend goes from dandy to eff off cool.

While we've seen 2007's hair band trend and, more recently, the feathered hair band micro-trend I never really thought we'd see the garland headband pop up as a bit of post-Christmas merriment. Of course, my non-thought didn't take into consideration Lily Allen, nor her need to promote her new album.
Call me sceptical, but I never imagined the feather trend quite transposing itself over to men's fashion trends; but leave it to Lanvin to prove me wrong.
There, amongst their Autumn (Fall)/Winter accessories, is Lanvin's three feather ties. None too subtle. And made for a male audience.
Yes there are enough flamboyant males out there to wear it; that leaves me with only one question: how do you tie the thing without damaging the feathers?

Rayban Wayfarers simply refuse to go out of fashion. Lindsay Lohan wore her trusty pair while out shopping in Hollywood.
While they were a big 2008 fashion trend, a word of the wise about wearing them in 2009 though;
Feast your eyes on these babies.
That's right, they're so Pirates of Silicon Valley it hurts. These "sexy" two tone wayfarers which come to us from a very long time ago from a much hipper, happening Microsoft. What's more these are apparently the very last pair of these retro cool specs in existence. We can almost see the young Bill Gates strutting round the office chatting up the girls of Microsoft toting these back in 80s. I can almost hear you screaming "I want them now", so after the jump check out the eBay listing;
