When I heard Joolz's new collection look-book was being shot on location at an Art Deco ballroom, I knew I would not be disappointed with the results. As predicted, the shoot brings together old world glamour, gorgeous styling, and of course striking accessories.

After my utter adoration for Gucci's bohemian-inspired AW08/09 collection, and my subsequent distaste for Rihanna's uninspired wearing of the collection's fringed boots, it should probably come as no surprise that Rihanna's Tattoo Heart campaign for the brand is a huge disappointment for me.

Head over to the fashion diary and check out the holiday lookbook for Current/Elliot Jeans. It's chock full of the latest denim trends. Inside everything from ripped jeans to the boyfriend jean trend are represented, and for good measure they've even thrown in some high waisted, wide leg jeans.
Comme des Garcons fans queued up for hours in rainy weather last week when the label's collaboration with H&M hit the shelves in Tokyo. Designer Rei Kawakubo brought her trademark avant-garde cuts and quirky details to the collection. Check out the video below to see the hype, the consumer response, and some exclusive interviews.
Kollate's inauguration into Melbourne's fashion scene provided the city with a much needed "no-frills" type of fashion. Unlike many labels when first starting out, there was a welcomed absence of un-deserving hype, clinical type of reverence and a sacrificial altar with an intoxicated priestess dancing naked to Enya dedicated to the brand. This alternative to the usual brouhaha may come off as rebellious compared with the "norm", but really it is a positive step for the local fashion industry.

Fashion Exposed, which will take place in Melbourne this weekend, is not just about well-established names. It's also the place to discover budding new labels that are yet to hit the big time. One such label to grace Fashion Exposed this year is Mejikuh - a brand created by an ambitious team of two, neither of who have ever studied fashion.

With inspiration from the 1960's, Mejikuh's collection presents a la dolce vita look with hints of colours. The materials used are combined of Japanese Sateen, Italian Sateen, and Chiffon Silk. These materials are used in varies ways throughout Mejikuh's latest designs with the overall effect of a feminine, alluring feel.
The Spring/Summer 2008 collection from Wish stands out for it's vintage-inspired maxi dresses, jumpsuits, shirt dresses, shorts and wide-leg trousers. What's more, it plays to elements of the bohemian luxe trend - one of our favourite trends of 2008-2009.

We have a $200 spring wardrobe update from Wish to give away to one lucky reader!
Gary Bigeni's designs are almost paradoxical: his choice of fabrics and colours are so simple, and yet his designs are utterly unique in their construction. Bigeni adds trademark twists and drapes that are almost escher-esque in their complexity - which contrast perfectly to the overall simplicity of the garments. His Spring / Summer 2008-2009 collection brings electric blue, soft grey and muted tangerine into the mix.

Gary Bigeni's S/S collection will show at High Fashion High Tea during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW). Follow the link to reserve your place at the event.
Miss Lyndel Yeo is never one to shy away from bright colours and bold prints... and her Spring collection for 2008 is no exception. Eye-catching pinks, purples and blues are paired with feminine cuts and floaty fabrics for a fresh, lively feel. We especially love the ruffled single-shoulder dresses and the addition of the rose fascinator headband... so perfect for the spring racing season!

Antonia Paris' Spring/Summer 2008/2009 collection recently debuted at Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival alongside the likes of Bettina Liano and Nevenka. A simple yet seductive range that plays a lot to 2008's single-shoulder trend, Antonia's dresses mix flouncing ruffles with fitted silhouettes, playful feathers, and ruched satin.
