My favourite umbrella is inarguably a Paul Smith walking stick umbrella, piped with his signature stripes, that I invested in some years ago. A new variation from the British designer, a Union Jack Umbrella, may soon sit along side it in my hall way.

It was pretty hard not to sit up and take notice of the Balmain Spring/Summer 2010 collection; so we're not the least bit surprised to see it becoming a red carpet favourite. Sienna Miller wore this shimmering ripped number to the opening of 'After Miss Julie' in New York City.
Taking advantage of the fact that quite a few of her fellow Victoria's Secret angels are out of action courtesy of a spate of pregnancies, model Alessandra Ambrosio has made herself something of a girl-about-town recently. And here she is again, hitting the red carpet of Los Premios MTV.
Ensuring that all eyes were firmly fixed on her, Ambrosio chose to step out in a dress from Balmain's Autumn (Fall)/Winter 2008/2009 collection. Paired with Christian Louboutin Prive Pump Sling Back heels, and with its cut away and sheer detailing and jewel embellishments, it proved a near-perfect choice.
There is very little to not like about the Sarda lingerie Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 lookbook. Model Rachel Alexander sports a ridiculously perfect figure, not to mention a bang-on-trend short black hairstyle, while the lingerie itself is uber-cute and highly wearable.
Given her penchant for sheer clothing and toplessness one need not describe Lily Allen as demure. That fact, however, hasn't prevented her from sporting a relatively demure take on the underwear as outerwear fashion trend.
You have to hand it to the girls at Vogue Paris: they go a long way to prove that being pregnant no way limits one's fashion options. We've already seen a not so demure example of pregnancy chic from Julia Von Boehm, and today it's Geraldine Saglio's turn.
Hitting the streets during Paris Fashion Week, Saglio donned a pair of Les Chiffoniers leather leggings; perfect for this season's leather fashion trend.
If you're starting to feel that accented shoulders are becoming too mainstream (and if you are I apologise now: they'll be amongst the Spring 2010 fashion trends), then why not follow this Parisian's lead and pair them with something even more eye-grabbing for Fall 2009: chunky knits.

The Spring/Summer 2010 lookbook from BodyAMR is striking on a number of levels. Cleanly shot and brilliantly posed, the lookbook captures movement and gives a strong sense of the materials used. Secondly is, of course, the clothes themselves. Draping pieces call to mind Grecian influences, but with a modern twist. A colour palette spanning from bold fuchsia, to metallic silver and gold, to peach, coral, aqua and white is anything but dull, and radiates a sense of exotic night-time beauty and pool-side glamour.
Yes, collaborations between stores, labels, and designers abound, but the fact that this collaboration is between a leading label, Comme des Garcons, and a band which split up almost 40 years ago, The Beatles, shows the continued relevancy of the latter in pop culture. And while we're eager to see the handbags that will result from this collaboration, we're most keen to see to what extent it will help revitalise 1960s and Brit pop fashion in 2010.

You have to hand it to Daisy Lowe, she knows how to steal the spotlight. Sitting front row at Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010 would be enough for some people, but when you're a socialite-cum-model there's a need to be photographed. So, naturally, you'd turn to the one fashion trend guaranteed to make that happen: underwear as outerwear. But even that's not enough for Lowe. To ensure that her image spreads far and wide it's not just any underwear that she donned, but a pair of knicker-style-shorts from the very collection she was there to see.
