High waists may be creeping their way back (or should I say up) into fashion, but for many still clinging to their hipsters, wayward knickers rising above jeans are still a problem. One solution: High Tieds. These knickers have a sash sewn into them which rises above the hemline to be tied in a bow around the waist. That's one interesting way to tackle the problem...

Ann-Sofie Back shows off her boldest collection at London Fashion Week. After launching her own label in 2001, she has continuously succeeded in offering an alternative to other designers with her pieces being inspired by normality. This week is no exception with her line showing that the mundane can, indeed, be exciting.

Like Marajoara in their recent collection, this designer has used 'real women' in the past to promote her designs. The Swedish designer has not failed to impress, with reported new stocklists picking up her garments this season.

She's the darling of the fashion world, the envy of millions, and the style icon for a few million more, and it seems that Kate Moss is just about to make life a hell of a lot easier for people after her style.
We've mentioned it already, but this time it's official - 2007 will see the launch of 'Kate Moss for TopShop'.

The trend toward designer / store collaborations continues with the announcement of Roland Mouret for Gap.
According to Vogue UK:
A line of ten dresses... from the man who created the Galaxy dress will put Gap in the running for plenty of cash come November 7, when they are due to go on sale in the UK and France. Even better, three of Mouret's designs will be sold as part of the Gap (PRODUCT) RED collection - 50 per cent of the profits they generate will go to The Global Fund to fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria that was set up by Bono and Bobby Shriver earlier this year.
One of Mouret's famed designs:

After Kate Moss' style without the designer price tag? Rumour has it that Kate is about to sign a deal for 1 million British pounds to design a range for Topshop. The Daily Mirror reports:

We may well have said goodbye to Rochas recently, but Oliver Theyskens isn't ready to give up yet. The Belgian designer, 29, has been hired by the Paris house of Nina Ricci and will likely show his first collection next March for Autumn 2007.

Jeremy Scott has joined forces with Longchamp for a new range of quirky luggage pieces. Vogue reports:
HAVING announced last week that it was adding a capsule collection of womenswear to its handbag collection this season, Longchamp has announced that it has Jeremy Scott on board. A new, one-of-a-kind collection of suitcases, carry-ons and computer cases with Scott's signature humour stenciled on them, will soon be available in Colette in Paris, La Maison Unique Longchamp at 132 Spring Street in New York, and at Longchamp at 404 Rue Saint Honoure in Paris. The collection, entitled This Is Not Your Bag, promises limited edition, fashionable and functional luggage.

High-tech manufacturing is credited with the rise of new 'engineered' underwear; including a new plunge bra that promises to wow us in ways not seen before. The Age reports:
We've heard of jackets with iPod controls in the sleeves, and even the Thomas Pink iPod Commuter tie... well now Levis have added jeans to the list of iPod-accommodating clothing.
The jeans include a small control unit, as well as iPod pocket. But, as Luxist recently pointed out, just how does one wash these jeans?
