Leighton Meester sheer in Emilio De La Morena

Written by Daniel P Dykes on 01.06.09

While her on-screen persona is constantly upstaged in the fashion stakes, no such competition exists in real life between Leighton Meester and Blake Lively; Meester is the queen of the red carpet, and seemingly of sheer fashion if her most recent red carpet outing is anything to go by.

Here's a peek at another denim label: Radcliffe London. Their Spring/Summer 2009 lookbook presents some effortless-cool pieces, from super-skinnies to a few styles of boyfriend jeans (as pictured below).

Dietrich Lingerie - Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009

Written by Tania Braukamper on 31.05.09

With lingerie as outerwear a growing trend, we're keen to see what new lingerie brands and collections are on the market - especially the ones that blur the line between what's kept beneath, and what's meant to be seen. We loved the elements of bondage Bordelle brought to their latest collection; but if you're after something a little softer, Dietrich Lingerie's Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009 collection may be more your style.

Gucci Cruise 2010 Collection

Written by Tania Braukamper on 31.05.09

The first thing that strikes us about Gucci's 2010 Cruise Collection is the sense of retro-cool that oozes from the outfits. From a sporty black boyshort bikini, to a stunning floor-length gown with thigh-high split, it's almost as if the models have stepped out of a 1970s James Bond film and into the creative mind of Frida Giannini. The colour palette of black, white and navy means the pieces are geared towards being high-quality wardrobe basics; the cuts are sleek and body-conscious for a look that's simple yet sexy.

Ripped denim: Erin Wasson X RVCA, Spring 2009

Written by Tania Braukamper on 29.05.09

It's been quite some time since we first forecast a major ripped denim comeback. And just as we anticipated, the trend has gone from popular in 2008 to well and truly mainstream in 2009. In coming days, we'll spotlight on some ripped denim pieces and collection, starting with Erin Wasson X RVCA Spring 2009.

Missoni Cruise 2010 collection

Written by Tania Braukamper on 28.05.09

Much like their Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 collection - which saw models bundled in layer upon layer of cosy knits - Missoni's Cruise 2010 collection was made for layering. This time, the effect was achieved through light-weight slouchy fabrics, gathering, draw-strings, and loose cuts. Our favourite feature of the collection is the low-key take on the exposed stomach trend, via tiny Missoni-print cropped bandeaus.

Jeggings mania: jeans leggings

Written by Lois Waller on 26.05.09

The new style that celebrities are lapping up is the 'jeggings' trend; but it's one we're very wary about. A jean design in a leggings cut is sweeping the industry and high street brands are rushing to get them into their stores fast enough. Some come with coloured stitching, press-studs and pockets to add to the jean effect but other brands such as Rock & Republic and Topshop have created leggings with the jean print on them just to cheat the look.

H&M have a light blue version similar to the pair Kate Bosworth has teamed with a long tee, and shops on eBay have many styles of the dark blue denim leggings that Rihanna was seen out in.

Scarves by Alexa Winner

Written by Tania Braukamper on 26.05.09

There's something divinely wild and free about Alexa Winner's custom print fabrics. When I look at her scarves, I get the impression that you could simply throw one on and be suddenly transformed into a rock-god. Some of her prints seem to be a modern play on 60's psychedelic hippy, while others have an indefinable youthful quality that's so simple and yet so raw.

The photo gallery of Alexa Winner's scarves is definitely worth a look if you haven't yet checked it out.

P.s. If I buy one, does the model come with it?

Illionaire Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009

Written by Tania Braukamper on 25.05.09

Illionaire brings us an Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009 lookbook that's akin to vintage pin-up infused eighties. Or something. However you'd best describe it, the word sexy should probably be in there somewhere too.

Illionaire Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009

My favourite piece is this rose-red ruched minidress, which is almost too cute for words. Also look out for a hot pair of leather shorts, a winter piece that will take you well and truly into 2010.

H&M 2009/2010: military fashion for men

Looking to wear the military trend in 2010 gents? Then you'd be amiss to overlook H&M's Autumn(Fall)/Winter 2009/2010 menswear collection.
