It's a rare sight to see: Victoria Beckham trading her usual slim silhouettes and towering heels for slouchy boyfriend jeans and flip-flops. Posh was spotted leaving Wembley Stadium in the PRPS Barracuda Boyfriend Jeans, which she smartened up with a semi-sheer black top and tailored black jacket.
For some reason I had it in my head that you made good fashion choices, Christina Ricci. Not so it seems. There was that tramp stamp which we more or less forgave you for, but double denim is simply stretching the friendship. Yes, it may be prominent in Spring/Summer 2009 and even be considered by some as a 2010 fashion trend, but it's a look which must be avoided lest you end up looking like this:
The question is less of whether the boyfriend jeans trend is going to last; and more of whether a collaboration between two powerhouse brands like Levis and DKNY could possibly go wrong. We've spotted boyfriend jeans before on the DKNY Spring/Summer 2009 runway. Now, they've released a boyfriend jean style as part of their collaboration with Levis; but if the slouchy look isn't for you, don't worry. There's also a skinny leg and wide-leg in the range.

I can never pass up an opportunity to write about Drew - whether it's about her campaign for Gucci Jewels or her going blonde following a hair trend for 2009, she's really one of my favourite celebrities. She's quirky and cute and now she's taken on yet another 2009 fashion trend; ripped denim.
After some inspiration for your denim collection in Spring/Summer 2009? Then look no further than Genetic Denim's Spring/Summer 2009 look book.
In it you'll find instances of boyfriend shorts, ripped denim and a bevy of other looks.
So I was going to do some research on Siwy Denim to write this article about their Spring/Summer 2009 collection and naturally stopped off at Wikipedia. Despite the fact that the site can otherwise fill you full of useless knowledge, it contains precisely nothing on Siwy which leads me to conclude that those whom edit it;
a) Have no fashion sense.
b) Are probably male.
c) Are woefully lacking in trendiness.
d) Probably own toy lightsabers.
Well where they failed we'll keep you informed on the latest 2009 fashion trends, and you can play spot the denim trend in Siwy's latest collection.

Last time we turned to Erin Wasson it was for a lesson on how to pose like a supermodel. Today there's no lesson, just a look at the most excessive ripped jeans on the market.
Hats off to Taylor Momsen on her choice of these Alexander Wang denim shorts, she's only the second celebrity we've spotted wearing these: the first was Kate Moss, 'nuff said.

We can see denim shorts like these becoming popular at least for the summer, if boyfriend jeans are your thing. Even though they've been met with resounding hatred in the fashion trend voting.
Victoria Beckham sports her new pixie crop hair, a pair of boyfriend jeans, and aviator sunglasses. If I wasn't so certain she was hot, as you can see when she wore a pair of latex leggings, I'd think she was trying to turn into a man.

It seems that suddenly everyone is jumping in on the ripped jeans trend bandwagon; from the crazy hot Natasha Poly in Vogue Paris to scientology enthusiast Katie Holmes. And that's a good thing, because, frankly, it's a much better look than the boyfriend jeans trend.
So with the trend's popularity growing it comes as no surprise to see brands including it in their 2009 Spring/Summer collections. As we've seen ripped jeans from Balmain, so too do we now see it from Cheap Mondays amongst their Spring/Summer 2009 offering.
