The kind of suspenders that hold up your trousers may have become popular again, but suspenders/stay-ups of the hosiery variety haven't been worn as outerwear for as long as I can remember. But such is the return of the risque; as burlesque becomes street wear, and lingerie becomes outerwear.

The Bra Turns 100
Apparently, the bra has just turned 100. I'm not sure how anyone can know the exact date the bra came into existence - but hey, 100 years is impressive non the less.
You've probably read the many horror stories surrounding the history of the bra and lingerie in general - when corsets were so tight women regularly fainted, failed to keep their food down, and even suffered the occasional pieced liver, courtesy of their own ribs.
