A colourful mix that spanned from the ethereal to the practical to the downright sexy, the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) Runway 4 show certainly had plenty to offer.
Thurley took feminine pieces and dipped them in attitude, while Nevenka's collection shone through with ethnic and bohemian influences.
Mad Cortes' pieces were soft, but paired with stern geek-chic glasses, and Fleur Wood's palette of yolk yellows, browns, blues and white were interestingly ruffled and layered to create texture and movement. Nicola Finetti sexed up burnt orange, silver and black in figure-hugging mini dresses and ruffled hems.
But the two collections that really took everyone's breaths away were the first and last; Gwendolyn and Aurelio Costarella. Gwendolyn's for her remarkable attention to detail in each and every gown and Aurelio Costarella's for it's mix of sexy and sweet.
Outfits from Aurelio Costarella
Look out for: Costarella's leather fish-scale pieces; his corset dresses, inspired by the underwear as outerwear trend; Gwendolyn's bride-worthy lace and beading; Nicola Finetti's sleek figure-huggers.

There aren't too many alpha-females out there and, though she might deny it, Tania certainly exudes their qualities. A keen eye, a focused approach, and a wardrobe spanning three rooms have made her one of the savviest of dressers. But it's not all couture for Tania, earning her fashionista credentials she'll frequently be seen on the town in a one-off, vintage dress and a pair of Gucci heels. She says: Vintage will never go out of style We say: Does that include vintage 80s?
