Four Seasons Fashion Parade, Melbourne

Written by Tania Braukamper

Many talented designers emerge at the Federation Square Breakthrough Program. Tomorrow night the program presents "Four Seasons" - a perfectly Melbournian look at trans-seasonal fashion:

"Federation Square's Breakthrough Program showcases new and emerging local designers, and provides the public and fashion industry unique access to their talents and the opportunity to meet the designers.

Each day Melbournians battle to coordinate layers of clothing to create the right ensemble that will see them through a chilly morning to a blistering afternoon. With this in mind, the first program theme for 2007 is "Four Seasons" - for the ultimate in tran-seasonal looks these designers are showcasing a mix of summer through to light winter wear.

With eight talented designers in the parade everything from swim to street to legwarmers are covered. Showcasing a mix of ready to wear and one off pieces there is something for everyone and every occasion from the beach to the races."

Where: BMW Edge

There aren't too many alpha-females out there and, though she might deny it, Tania Braukamper certainly exudes their qualities. A keen eye, a focused approach, and a wardrobe spanning three rooms have made her one of the savviest of dressers. But it's not all couture for Tania, earning her fashionista credentials she'll frequently be seen on the town in a one-off, vintage dress and a pair of Gucci heels.

She says: Vintage will never go out of style
We say: Does that include vintage 80s?
