If you’re one of the Melbourne fashion and lifestyle companies looking to participate in 2011′s Melbourne fashion week, then your opportunity to submit a proposal for an event is closing soon.

In their most recently release on the subject, the Melbourne City Council has written:

Expose your business to a widespread audience by becoming part of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week program. But you’ll need to be quick – opportunities for individuals and businesses to participate in the MSFW City Series close on 30 May.

MSFW wants to hear from businesses within Melbourne who would like to stage a fashion or fashion-related event during MSFW 2011. The opportunities are endless… workshops, catwalk shows, films, exhibitions… no matter the size, we want to hear about them all!

MSFW City Series participants will receive the following benefits:

  • Your event will be listed in the MSFW official program.
  • Your event details will be incorporated in the MSFW advertising and publicity campaign.
  • Your event will be featured on the MSFW website.
  • Your event will be incorporated in promotions through regular MSFW e-newsletters to a database of over 12,000.
  • MSFW is the voice for fashion and retail in Melbourne and this is your chance to be part of this very important conversation.

For more information and to apply to be part of MSFW 2011 visit: www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/msfw.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
