Pitti Uomo 79 saw the 100th anniversary of Trussardi and it obvious that those preceding years have not dulled the label’s love of leather in the least. The collection, something an homage to the many ways in which the material can be used, plays to the relaxed fit of many of the autumn / fall 2011 men’s collections we’ve been privy to at Milan fashion week. Trussardi’s creative director Milan Vukmirovi also played to a number of other elements prevalent amongst men’s fashion of late, double breasted suede dinner jackets (with leather, peaked lapels no less) setting themselves apart from sculpted, leather tees.
