It was a fine evening when the duo extraordinaire that is Alexander Leimbach and Roman Makuhha, owners and designers of Euphorik London, put on their preview at The Gallery, based under Wolf & Badger. The pair met whilst working at Yves Saint Lauren and created and launched their brand last year.
When asked about inspiration, Alexander replied “We wanted to create a medieval story in modern shapes…” That was certainly apparent amongst the rich fabrics and ornate colours. Hues of blood red constructed into a velvet blazer with contrasting lapels, was one of many regal-esque pieces in Euphoriks’ collection. A marl grey Suit jacket with a hood, personified the inspiration behind the range as did the French blue shirt with noir black placket and collar. In fact the whole event manifested their vision as it was set in a show space under one of the stores the label can be found in and a live band was present for entertainment. Medieval story in modern settings I’d say.
