It’s still early days for Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation of The Great Gatsby – that classic, Jazz Age, ultimately tragic piece of literary fiction loved by many. Yet with the release of some official photos from the set we get a taster of the fashions to come from the film. In these released shots Carey Mulligan is the quintessential icon of 1920s fashion: bobbed hair, decadent jewels and fur in one shot, a more Deco-looking printed headscarf in another.

The men are, of course, suited up and dapper and ready for some Jazz Age partying.
The images have been released by Warner Bros. and while we don’t have a specific photographer credit, we’ve been told that Christian Blanchard has been working as the official set photographer, so we expect these might be Christian’s work.
