With the showings for Autumn / Winter 2012 just having kicked off it’s only a little surprising to learn that behind the scenes planning is already well under way for the September showings later in the year. Just announced are the dates for New York Fashion Week, 6th – 13th of September and London Fashion Week 14th – 18th September.

So excuse us whilst we scribble these dates into our diary.

The real September issue has been that of the hectic pace of the show season which finds magazine editors in a mad dash to catch the must see catwalks – though at the very least the CFDA and BFC have come to an agreement:

The CFDA and BFC confirm the above dates for fashion weeks in September 2012. Both organisations remain committed to finding a long term solution that would see a confirmed Fashion Season where brands and designer businesses in all four fashion capitals (New York, London, Milan and Paris) can plan for the long term and when exceptional circumstances arise there is dialogue and empathy to find a solution that works for all.
