While the fashion industry often holds events which benefit charities, these are, for the most part, closed events. LMFF, L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival will, however, give Melbourne fashionisers the opportunity to get their dose of fashion all while helping the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. And there's an added bonus: international designers.
One of the most difficult aspects of fashion weeks across Australia is that they often feature only local designers. And while that still provides amazing clothes on the catwalk, there's more of a buzz to be felt in seeing new collections from bigger names. The 'Runway Deluxe' charity event will include the likes of DKNY, Donna Karan, Hugo Boss, and Moschino.
Tomorrow night designers Dhini, Trimapee, MaterialByProduct and Leopold will be presenting their wonderful designs at BATMANIA; an event supporting TLC for kids.
We'd just like to remind you that if you're in Melbourne you won't want to miss this. As well as mingling with the fashion crowd, there's also the chance to win:
The price of tickets is $47.50 and includes drinks on arrival plus entry into the After Party at the fabulous Baroq House nightclub.
Visit http://www.fashionising.com/batmania/ to book your tickets!
Those of you in Melbourne, just a reminder that the launch of Midnight Fashion is on tomorrow night at Bond Lounge, so if you haven't got your tickets yet now's your chance. Designers on show include Fashionisers Anna Campbell and Ma.te.a as well as a bunch of other upcoming talents.

Did you know that Melbourne, Australia was at one time called "Batmania"? Named, of course, after Batman. True story!
Now before I tell you about this Saturday's fashion event of the same name, I should probably just clarify that we were talking about John Batman, one of the city's founders, and not the superhero. (Yeah I know, not quite as cool.)
But anyway, Batmania the event will be very cool - it's supporting TLC for Kids, with parades from some of Melbourne's best designer talents. On the program are Trimapee (who wowed us at their A/W08 launch), Leopold, Dhini, and MaterialByProduct.

You are invited... to view the Spring / Summer collections of three amazing Melbourne designers - Darium, Emily Jane Lingerie and Fashioniser Anna Campbell! The parade will start at 9.30pm at The Saint hotel in St Kilda.

Australian label Zenzero are launching their Spring-Summer 2007/2008 collection during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) , including the very special début of their men's line. With Fashionising.com presenting the launch at Baroq House, you're naturally invited.

Details of the upcoming Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) parades have been announced. Sadly there'll only be only four official parades all up (eight if you count the repeats), but with over 120 events a part of the week you'll be sure to get your fashion fix.
