New York fashion week coverage 2015

Beautiful, minimal: in New York

The idea of going minimal might conjure up images of tailored, colourless, Scandinavian outfits. But keeping it minimal can mean many things, it just depends on your interpretation. This outfit is minimalist in the sense that it features effortless pieces in block colours with minimal accessories or prints. And it manages to pull it all off with an inkling of retro sophistication.

Rock chic sweet: Chiara Ferragni

A sweet, girly dress with a lace collar and delicate fabric can only be cool and rock-chic if you match it up correctly. Take Chiara Ferragni‘s example: she wore hers with ankle boots, a wide-brimmed hat, and a shimmer of silver eye-shadow.

A velvety touch: in New York

Velvet has been making a comeback, and indeed you’ll find it listed amoungst fall 2015’s fashion trends. Here it was spied with a boho-luxe twist on the streets of New York, with a printed maxi-dress and western boots.

Catching the Chloe mood: in New York

In white crochet lace and tan lace-up sandals you can find, snatched up and held fast to, a distinct handful of the mood from the Chloe runways. Rumi Neely & the slinkly slip: in New York

Oh the ease of the slip dress, that silky, slinky staple of neo-90s fashion. And who else to do it justice than blogger Rumi Neely, who now runs her own label of minimal it-girl staples called “Are You Am I“? This dress worn by Neely during New York Fashion Week is one of her own designs.

Rainy day style: in New York

It often feels like rainy weather and stylish outfits can’t exist in tandem. But the right raincoat can change all that. Below, simply avoid the suede boots and go for patent leathers and other waterproof materials and you’ll have a street style worthy look in no time.
