Paris Fashion Week brings each season's hectic schedule of fashion shows to a close, capping off a whirl-wind tour of International fashion weeks that starts in New York, moves through London and Milan, and ends in Paris. As with each, PFW occurs twice a year, taking in the Autumn (Fall)/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons. Below you'll find coverage of Paris Fashion Week 2009 and 2008.
One might initially think that marrying a sheer Chloe shirt with leather pants by Bassike would be risque - a bold look only reserved for night time occasions. Not so, as seen here, the look can in fact be worn as day wear.

From celebrities to magazine editorials, the over the knee boots trend is just about everywhere at the moment. It isn't the first time this pair was spotted on Louise Ebel during Paris Fashion Week, and we love both of her interpretations of the trend.

It takes some daring to pull off this extreme take on the feather trend. Luckily Leigh Lezark's raven hair and brooding looks seem to meld seamlessly with the Giambattista Valli peacock dress she wore to Paris Fashion Week.

Pairing with mini-skirt from Acne, a boyfriend blazer from Zara, and an oversized top from Complex Geometries has done these black TopShop over the knee boots a world of justice.

When Freja Beha Erichsen cut her flowing hair to a then-cutting edge bob hairstyle I loved it. It was new. It was edgy. It suited her personality. It was also 2007. Now, as 2010 hair styles loom it's more than a little refreshing to see her growing it out.

I have to confess that I belive Kate Moss has been slipping of late. At the time of Fashionising.com's inception Kate Moss was the trend setter, now she seems content to simply keep up with trends. And it isn't always pretty when she does, particularly if her recent outing in a sheer dress at Paris Fashion Week is anything to go by. But while that look didn't come close to the sartorial brilliance that everyone should strive for, her outfit for the Miu Miu Spring 2010 showing can't be faulted. Perfectly inline with the Fall 2009 leather fashion trend, it proves that Kate Moss still has the ability to epitomise rock chic.

Having spotted model Miranda Kerr on the Paris Fashion Week catwalk, so too must we see her on the city's streets. And when we do, she's wearing the recently featured boyfriend blazer trend.

When fashion house Chanel debut a season nail polish colour quite a few people sit up and take note. And with good cause. Let's not forget that Chanel's Black Satin nail polish became a fashion trend unto itself back in 2006/2007. So it is that amongst all the clothes of the Spring 2010 catwalks at Paris Fashion Week we find the debut of Chanel's Spring 2010 nail polish colour.

While unmistakable elements of Karl - the black and white palette, the high necks - found their way into Lagerfeld's Spring/Summer 2010 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, the collection was overall a breath of fresh air. Playsuits taking on structured shapes; high-waisted shorts paired with cropped tailored jackets; immaculately shaped dresses in feminine silhouettes. And along with all that, a newly Summery take on the Female Dandy trend.

Given that Spring 2010 fashion trends will include both nudity and one shoulder clothing, should we be in the least surprised by this look from Haider Ackermann that marries the two?

Marrying not two but three major 2010 fashion trends comes this fantastic street style look from Paris Fashion Week. The trends in question are of course the leather clothing trend; the trend towards big shoulders; and none other than the cape trend.

An Alexander McQueen catwalk is always something to behold, and this year's Paris Fashion Week promises to be no different. While the a-listers will sit front row in Paris' 12th arrondissement, it is you dear fashionisers whom shall have the best view as the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 collection is broadcast live on the Internet for your viewing pleasure.

Attending the Vivienne Westwood Spring 2010 catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, Rihanna was on top of another big 2010 fashion trend: over the knee boots.

Leave it to John Galliano to put together a standout collection and stage it on a standout runway. Such was the nature of Galliano's Dior Spring 2010, with its heavy use of lingerie as outerwear (termed by Galliano as "semi-undressed allure") in dreamy colours that words would hardly do it justice. Instead we turn to both pictures and the video after the jump.

Alber Elbaz is on a role. His latest collection for Lanvin, which showed at Paris Fashion Week this week, was founded upon the feminine glamour that has become trademark to the designer's style. Complex ruffles, drapes, gathers and pleats were testament to Elbaz' technical capabilities, and adorned everything from short dresses to sweeping floor-length gowns with high splits; tailored jackets to jumpsuits. The exotic statement jewellery that accessorised the collection made it all the more complete - chunky chains, writhing Medusa snakes, and jaguar heads amoung them.

You have to hand it to the girls at Vogue Paris: they go a long way to prove that being pregnant no way limits one's fashion options. We've already seen a not so demure example of pregnancy chic from Julia Von Boehm, and today it's Geraldine Saglio's turn.
Hitting the streets during Paris Fashion Week, Saglio donned a pair of Les Chiffoniers leather leggings; perfect for this season's leather fashion trend.

As one of the music industry's edgiest dressers, it comes as no surprise that Rihanna has been ticking all the fashion trend boxes during Paris Fashion Week. Attending the showing of Balmain Spring/Summer 2010, Rihanna made another foray into lingerie as outerwear, wearing an exposed bra with lace underlay.

When you first see the full length picture of this Parisian take on the sheer clothing, it'll strike you as one of the most individualistic interpretations of the trend.

If her short crop didn't give it away, the look that she was sporting as she attended Gareth Pugh's Spring 2010 showing certainly did: Rihanna is no wall flower. Yes, we've know that she's no stranger to the sheer clothing trend, but for the most part she's worn the look with nipple covers. Her look during Paris Fashion Week, however, joins that of her outing in SoHo: it leaves little to the imagination.

When model Miranda Kerr arrived in Continental Europe recently we pondered if the Victoria's Secret model had been booked for a coveted Paris Fashion Week show. And indeed she had. Not that you necessarily have noticed if you were amongst those front row at Balenciaga's Spring 2010 catwalk.

With military, shoulder, leather and cutaway detailing fused with more shine than even a hair-care commercial can offer up, Balmain Spring 2010 sits amongst the Spring 2010 catwalks precisely as you'd expect it: infused with sex and bordering on the outlandish.

If you're starting to feel that accented shoulders are becoming too mainstream (and if you are I apologise now: they'll be amongst the Spring 2010 fashion trends), then why not follow this Parisian's lead and pair them with something even more eye-grabbing for Fall 2009: chunky knits.
