You can have sex at 16, you can buy software porn (boobies only at 12). The laws are topsy turvy.

software porn hey lol u mean softcore???

i tend to agree with daniel on one part.... ucan have sex at 16 and have to cope all the results from it (yay 17 yr old mums and dads who have no idea how to look after themselves let alone a baby) yet a 16yr old showing boob is evil and disgusting.

saying that some 17 yr olds are quite smart and know how to look after themselves and have made great parents.

At the same time i agree and disagree, everybody has different opinions and different perspectives to what is wrong and right, so you cant really say if it is to young or not. A lot of models start at a young age, just like Kate Moss, she started at the age of 14. They sometimes start at a early age for;
. A part time job
. To get a bit of money
. To build a fantastic portfolio
. To get a head start
. And for other reasons

I think it is there own choice if they want to start in the modelling industry at a young age, if they enjoy it then it is not too young. What can you do if you love something so much, it is just like your hobbies and what you love to do, these models love to do what they do and i dont think there is nothing wrong with that, whether they are young or old.

As I have said on here last year and will not doubt be saying next year as well as this topic always swings around againa and again...

It makes no sense at all to fix an age. It is rubbish- see my posts on "Modelling Advice". What matters is how mentally and physically healthy a model is, what support she/he has and the type of modelling.
Don't paint all 16yrs olds into a cupboard and deny them a wonderful time and career.

As for also the PC brigade who are up in arms at any Lolita shots, this has been with us and will always be with us from pre Kate and will be post Kate. This is the real world. Fashion/photography/advertising/film and literature will always have Lotita's and I for one am happy to be based here in France where artistic and expressive freedom is a delight to work within.

Hey! the younger the better. Maybe not for high fashion this instant, but you need to be as young as possible, so you can work your way up and reach your career high before you turn 27, which is pretty OLD with the fashion industry

Kate Moss- Sarah Doukas saw her at an airport; she was 14.
Gisele Bundchen- 13 at modeling school, 14 when Elite took her to New York
Karen Elson- 16
Paulina Porizkova-around 15 The head of Elite offered her a ticket to Paris. Again started at young age
Amber Valetta- 15
Linda E.- A VERY young 12 when she started, 16 when she moved to Paris for high fashion.
Angela Lindvall- 14, by IMG scouts
Bridget Hall- 14
Naomi Campbell- 15, by an Elite scout named Beth
Janice Doreen Dickinson-Around 15
Karolina Kurkova-14-15
Linda E.- A VERY young 12 when she started, 16 when she moved to Paris for high fashion.
Christy T.-13
Natalia V.-16
Elle Macpherson- 16
Tyra Banks- he started modeling when she was 15 years old.
