Since Kate Moss' Glastonbury outfits, we hinted at a 20s/30s vintage revival. Well, we think it's finally here.

Here's what we're tipping for the upcoming resurge of flapper-esque fashion.

The icons and influences:
* F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby
* Louise Brooks and Clara Bow
* Coco Chanel
* Jazz

The elements:
* Beading and fringing
* Drop-waists
* Kate Moss for Topshop
* Short bobs
* Flapper headbands

all of the above YES, except the drop waist. I'm enjoying the waist and its too new to off load yet, lets hope we dont have to - too soon! I think the flapper headbands is a nice way to introduce the hat. the 40/s hat setup is so sophisticated (I love so much) but here is WA I wonder how popular such a statement piece will travel. mmm its a wait and see this winter. Hope you all had a fantastic Melbourne cup day....

I bought that cape online the other day, couldn't resist it. I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival....

Its fully coming back.. its elegant simple and sexy. Time to get rid of the awful complecated pattens and prints and back to simple sexy dresses..

For the moment there are more straight up and down dresses, or fringed dresses with waists. But being 1920s style there are some drop-waists out there too.

I love the flapper look! Maybe its time to return to the bob...
And I noticed rather a lot of the flapper-style headband at the Cup yesterday (unfortunately not all of them done well). I think we need a fashion blog on how to wear one properly.
Isn't the Great Gatsby fabulous?

I ache for a capelet! And most things from this era, including the shoes. TO modernise it i think a smokey eye is necessary.

What about finger curls? I've always wanted to do them, but have never really had the right hairstyle (though, now my hair is short I could probably give it a shot!)
